TLG is back at it

May 9th, 2012

The boys over at TLG are throwing a party at the Double Deuce on May 19th. It’s been awhile since they thrown a party and I’m looking forward to the mayhem that will ensue . If you’re around you should hit this up, and if so I’ll see you there.

There’s always time for crafts……….yeah I said it, crafts!

May 1st, 2012

One thing we enjoy at the Freedom Fighter studio is being crafty. We try to have everything DIY as much as possible. After grabbing a few more supplies for our WW2 stretcher clothing rack among other other projects. We finished staining a few things and installing some glass in a new display box. Then it was on to some crafts.

These masks are pretty simple. (well we didn’t actual draw the art for them so it was just print and cut) A little fishing line to hold in place and bam! You have masks for the photo shy folk we have to take pictures of this afternoon. Thanks to Barf for making these masks available for us to fool around with!

Calling all Comrades

April 23rd, 2012

This is one of our favorite releases for spring so far. The concept came easily, since I call my close friends and team riders comrade. It was only fitting we’d hook up with New Era again for these fresh 100% wool snapbacks, with a 90′s basketball script done by our good friend and rider Smolik.

We decided to do these in two different Raiders colorways, and a Yankees dark navy with a kelly green underbrim. These are now available at Homebase & Proper Reserve. These are super limited and you don’t want to sleep on these.

Spring Exclusives

March 29th, 2012

As Spring is slowly coming, so is the new collection. We just finished screen printing two new tees. We know were a bit behind but when you see what’s in store for the season I think you won’t mind. These tees were illustrated by James Callahan mid to late last year. Sitting on these designs has been killing us, but we’re happy to be bring them to you now. We’ve worked with James in the past and he’s killed it yet again.

With the Freedom Fighter guerrilla apocalypto warfare tee (I know that’s a mouth full) he brought our concept to life with this fine detailed illustration. We decide to do a large 12 x 18 print to span the whole tee. Making for a pretty tough graphic.

The second one he did is the SGT. Sharks tee. This is for the Freedom Fighter’s Baseball League. Yes, I know it’s on a white tee but the three quarter length baseball tees will be coming soon. I like how clean the lines are and how gnarly the shark turned out.

As of yesterday both tees are now exclusively available at Homebase in Toronto. So you won’t want to sleep on these. They won’t hit the web until early next week.

Tons more to come and a large part of it has been designed by James Callahan. So be on the lookout.

Batters Up!

March 16th, 2012

One thing I love about what I do is getting lost in my imagination and being able to create the things in my head and see them come to life. Last year we started our new Stockholm Syndrome Series, and this year it’s the Freedom Fighter Baseball League. No, no we’re not starting up a weekly pick up game. It’s gnarly fictional baseball teams we would wanna see bat it out. We’ve been planning and patiently sitting on designs since last summer. And it’s so nice to finally see them come to light.

Below is a very small snippet of what’s to come and the first of many graphics to be dropping this Spring/Summer.

Be one the lookout!

All Work & No Play isn’t a Good Look!

March 15th, 2012

As we’re gearing up for our Spring season we don’t seem to be going out much if any. But a last minute decision had me at the Vice after party for Project X, bumping into a friend I hadn’t seen in a minute. We got to talking and after catching up we had planned to meet up the following week at his shop to go over a few things. Skam runs/owns Homebase one of Toronto’s elite graffiti shops. After looking at what’s to come and working together in the past we figured Freedom Fighter would be a great fit for the shop.

As of this moment 3 of our Limited Stockholm Syndrome tees are available at Homebase. As well as all three of our Death by Awesome New Era snapbacks. So roll through and pick up a tee or two before these ones are gone forever. Also be on the lookout for a couple of new Spring tees that will make their first appearance next week.

Tis The Season For Art Shows

March 14th, 2012

A few of our good friends are in a great art show coming to the city mid next month. Since the weather’s getting nicer and our productions should be under wraps this will be a great treat.

This won’t be something you’ll wanna pass up! With the likes of Mike Giant, Sam Flores, Doublenaut, Skam & Matt Barnes particapting just to name a few. It’ll make for a great show, and if that doesn’t top it off! La Carnita will be supplying some of the best Tacos, Tostadas and Churros around. Of course they’ll be music and it’ll all be taking place on Friday April 13th @ Evergreen Brick Works.

Checkout La Carnita for more info and the deets.

Hope to see there.
